I consider myself a techie-ish kind of girl. A social media fan. Pinterest is my happy place. I know my way around my Galaxy SIII and I’m hoping for the SIV, just because. At any given time, there are three laptops, a tablet, two smartphones, and a wireless router working overtime at our house.
My job is online.
My calendar is not.
My name is Michelle and I keep a paper calendar.
Go on ahead and close your mouth, it’s true.
I’ve thought a lot about this, the reasons behind it, and why it probably makes more sense for me to keep it online. It isn’t like I haven’t tried. I just keep going back to the tactile high that I get from turning the page to find a fresh piece of paper to scribble those appointments down. The back to school aisle and the array of choices. The colors. The size. Lined versus unlined, week versus month. Everything right there at a flip of my fingers.
Don’t even get me started on the pens.
Is your calendar online?

I've downloaded really cool "must have mom" apps. I've tried the notes and reminders on my iphone. I still have a paper calendar next to my desk for my bills and appointments. I carry a datebook around to keep work and appointments straight. I think I feel like if I am forced to open it, it will stay in my brain better.
Also, I am so sad that Adrianna is starting kindergarten, however, I am secretly overjoyed with the fact we get to go school shopping. Office supplies are my downfall. Pens, paper, notebooks, markers, post-its, etc. Go ahead, make fun... I know I'm a nerd but that's like my Christmas!!! Bah hah hah :)
I have a wall calendar with little stickers on it so my kids know when things are happening. I have a date book that I take to MK appointments so my customers can sign up for their follow up appointments or schedule their pampering sessions that they share with a few friends. And all appointment go on my phone's calendar so I get reminder alarm. I am not a super mom so I need all of these to balance my family...LOL
Have to have a paper calendar and I have a fetish about pens. The last time I cleaned out my pen pocket in my purse, I had approximately 35 stuffed away. Thinking I might need a pencil holder from the back-to-school sales to store them in my purse :)
I love paper calendars. I have one in my purse and one on the wall! They are just pretty and fun to use!!
I used to love my paper calendar but when I got my first Palm Pilot, there was no turning back. I share tons of Google Calendars with my husband and I can't imagine not having access to that information at all hours of the day.
But I really like pens.
I actually just stopped this morning to buy a new planner that I saw at Target yesterday. I have most of my calendar online for work purposes, but I just love paper and pens for everything. For notes, reminders, all that good stuff.
I JUST started using a paper planner! I'm a little nervous, but I figure there really is no wrong way to start using one!
I have a leather bound day planner, wall calendars in the kitchen AND the office, but I also use the calendar on my phone.
I've been buying the same kind of day planner for years. I love being able to go back and look at what was going on at a particular time. The calendar on my phone is very handy but I don't think I'll ever give up my paper calendars.
I'm kind of half and half - I won't even go there on how that works. I really, really prefer a paper calendar. I can't use apps to make notes either. I'm a paper note taker.
I have an Erin Condren Life Planner, this is the 2nd year I have had one and OMFG do I love it. It goes everywhere with me. I tried online for like 2 months a few years ago, didn't take.
I love paper & super duper pens... but I just can't seem to remember to use it! My phone? I always have. I generally want to be more organized/scheduled, but... eh. I think I just like to buy things. :)
I have a planner/calendar for work that is my bible. my coworker and I are frantic over this thing, and will continue to keep it paper over here.
don't get me started on my real weakness...mechanical pencils. LOVE!
