I do it too! Toe breathers unite! I just ended my break because I was getting a massage and was embarrassed about having naked toes, you know...in front of a stranger.
I have never thought of doing this on purpose but tonight I am going to finally take the polish off my big toe and let them all breathe [yeah... I'm totally still rocking pedicure polish I got in November... it's on the tips of my bitty toes and my big toes. I'm going to let them breath!
I do this sometimes in the summer - mostly because my feet have seen sunlight and don't seem as stark or scurry w/out polish.
I totally do this! But it's mostly during the entire cold season. Because no one really sees my toes during those months except for my husband and he doesn't care about toe polish.
Yes I do this! I don't think it's crazy. It's good for your toe nails. Our nails were never meant to be covered in lacquers and polishes all the time! Enjoy. :)
I do this too, but only because all the polish has chipped off since the end of summer. I may or may not have one portion on each big toe that is still pink, but I won't actually admit to that! But really? It's Ohio, winter finally decided to make an appearance....plus, who sees them?? :o)
My breather usually goes from October to almost May. Occasionally I may wear polish for a special event, but the rest of the winter I'm in shoes anyway. Mostly, I do it because I have one nail that peels when I have polish on, and it takes that long for it to grow out! Then I start all over :)
I can't do this....I live in FL and we don't get a break from open toe shoes and flip flops. For example, when it was 2degrees in Toledo last week it was 75 degrees here....today high of 81. :) So next week's pedi...here I come.
Thanks so much for taking the time to add your thoughts! Comments on older posts are moderated, so if they don't get published immediately, don't despair.
yes! I am doing this too!
ReplyDeleteI do it every winter. It usually lasts from November-February then I celebrate with a long pedicure.
ReplyDeleteI wear socks constantly so the only person that notices my naked toes is me!
Love the toe ring.
I'm sort of the opposite: 11 months off/1 month painted.
ReplyDeleteHello my name is Tricia and I have ugly naked toes.

I never paint my toes. I have only had a pedicure once. Sad I know.
ReplyDeleteAlways. Toes do to breathe!
ReplyDeleteOh yes for sure but it's more like all winter;)

ReplyDeleteI am doing it inadvertently, since I haven't found time to re-paint after my Christmas red. :)
