I seemed to somehow get handed like a million books from a bunch of people within the last month. I'm currently reading Pillars of the Earth, a time management book called Getting Things Done (maybe I should read that first to figure out my game plan for the others), a fun little read my mom gave me called The Book of Illumination and the Bean Trees.
I just finished The Hunger Games series. And am a little obsessed with it still. I'm making everyone I know read it. But I've just moved on to A Widow For a Year. Just barely started so I cannot recommend yet.
David Sedaris. Also The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, but I'm having a hard time getting into that one - though I've been told by several, I've got to stick it out and it will get good. (I want it good from the beginning!)
Loving the baby picture of dad in the background..I have the same one in my room at home. I'm reading more books then I can count! I got four from the library for leisure the other day, starting with A Tree Grows in Brooklyn because I somehow haven't read it yet. Not to mention Microeconomics: Private and Public Choice, Introduction to Environmental Geology, Norton's Anthology, etc. I LOVE COLLEGE....
I just finished the Time Traveler's Wife. I realize I'm a million years behind the times, but I'm ok with that. It was good, but sad. I'm currently reading The Help, but I just started. I'll let you know more later.
I am reading One Hundred Years of Solitude (that I am convinced has to be better in it's original language of Spanish because it is a bear to get through!), Frommer's Italy 2010 (fingers crossed that 3 weeks come January me and the man will be sipping vino in the Italian countryside and Eat, Pray, Love since it seems I am the last one on the planet to read it.
Well currently I am reading a bunch of med books but I have some books in the lined up for break... Need to finish Night by Wiesel (not a light read by any means), Water for Elephants- Gruen & finishing with The Problem of Pain- Lewis heavy and emotional stuff but I needed a change from the Stackhouse books & Plum series I have been reading (love them). Before school started I finished the bride stripped bare- Gemmell it was disturbing and smutty and I hate to say it but I couldn't put it down.
Thanks so much for taking the time to add your thoughts! Comments on older posts are moderated, so if they don't get published immediately, don't despair.
