They’re alliterative and they’re fun.
Ever since I made the dang Lightening McQueen pancakes for Finn he’s been pissed every time we make ‘normal’ pancakes. This morning we decided to make ‘normal’ pancakes, but we turned the batter a lovely shade of neon lavender, because they’re more fun that way. It’s just a Bisquick mix with a teaspoon of added vanilla bean paste and half a teaspoon of almond extract in addition to the neon purple liquid food coloring.
Could not be easier and if you’re lucky... you’ll hear the original song called, “Syrup, syrup is good, good, good,” from your little munchkin too.
Too funny! I dont' think I'm talented enough to make "LaQueen" (as Adam says) pancakes, but I could handle purple!
ReplyDeletemmmmmmmmmmmm... now I want pancakes.
ReplyDeleteThat is all my kids will eat..."colored" pancakes. I've been buying the Fiber One mix and adding cinnamon and sweet potato puree to them along with the food coloring...they gobble them right up! They especially like when I put the mix in a ketchup bottle so I can make cool shapes. I can't cook...but I'm not so bad at pancakes :0)
ReplyDeleteOk I had to comment because while reading this post my stomach actually growled- serious pancake craving right now! I'm thinking breakfast for dinner tomorrow night... Thanks for the inspiration : )
ReplyDeleteOk, amazing pic of those pancakes. Now that we're all hungry.... :-)
ReplyDeleteI used to color my son's pancakes, too! He loved it. We always add a little vanilla and cinnamon to our pancake mix... yummy!

Looks delicious! Good idea, I'll be doing this for Lindsey when she gets a little bit bigger!
ReplyDeletePass the purple pancakes please.
ReplyDeleteWe make blue spaghetti (thanks Percy Jackson)
