How To Make Homemade Hand Sanitizing Wipes
I first learned about making homemade hand sanitizing wipes while watching The Doctors when I was pregnant. I decided to try it out and I'm so glad I did. I use them ALL the time!! I keep them in my car and they really come in handy. I use them to wipe down the grocery cart before I put Natalie's cart cover on and I also use them to wipe off my hands in the car. I have even used them to clean up a mess in the car. I wouldn't use them as baby wipes though, they do contain alcohol which can easily be absorbed through your little ones skin.
What you'll need:
- Thick Paper Towels
- Alcohol
- Baby Lotion
- Container
Next you need to fill your container with half lotion and half alcohol. Make sure you mix them together well. I only fill my container about half way up. I ended up using about half the bottle of alcohol. It's not an exact science. I make them different every time.
Now just add your paper towels. They should soak up all of the lotion/alcohol solution. If the paper towels aren't completely soaked you can add more of the solution and if they seem to wet don't worry. They WILL dry out some, especially if you keep them in your car.

Wow! Awesome idea. Thanks!
Hmmm. How much are wipes these days? I bought them in bulk and don't know.
This is a good idea if it really saves you money.
What a good idea! I'll have to try this out- we always need sanitizing wipes around our house with my son starting to walk and get into things. :)
What a creative idea! I should make some of those for work to keep at my desk! Thanks!
Next you'll be making your own laundry detergent like your big sister....awww, I'm so proud at this moment. :)
I gave you an award! Check it out. I love you blog and your ideas!
